0 Robin Peterson

Robin John Peterson (born 4 August 1979 in Port Elizabeth) is a South African cricketer, who bowls left arm spin. He is also a more than capable batsman, with a first class batting average of 26.35 as of 6 November 2005. His first class bowling average is a modest 36.36, however, and in Test matches it stands at 50.37. He has played five Tests and 21 ODIs for South Africa, with his last international match coming in the 2004-05 Tour of India, where he took one wicket for 90 runs as South Africa's lone spin bowler in the drawn first Test match. He also played in the Sri Lanka Cricket A Team Triangular Series in 2005-06, where he took five wickets in five one day matches, and currently plays for the Eastern Cape Warriors.
He holds the dubious accolade of being the bowler from whom Brian Lara scored a world record tally of 28 runs in a single Test match over.[1]
In December 2009, it was revealed that he had signed a contract to play for Derbyshire on a Kolpak contract.[2]
He attended Alexander Road High school in Port Elizabeth and matriculated in 1997.
